Anja is the Owner, Founder and Principal of Hug Bug Playschool. She holds a Montessori Teaching Diploma in Early Childhood Development, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance from AFDA. She is committed to continuous professional development and has completed a variety of early childhood development courses and seminars covering topics such as emotional regulation and communication.

Anja has 15 years of experience working with children of various ages, ranging from au pairing and providing entertainment at children's parties to teaching at several preschools, before eventually opening her beloved Hug Bug Playschool in 2018.

My experience has taught me how important early childhood development is and how essential free play is for children growing up in today's technology-filled world. Through free play, children develop physically, emotionally and socially, while also strengthening their fine motor skills. I will never stop learning from these precious children, researching, observing and improving my teaching methods, or sharing my knowledge and experience with my staff.”
